Performance and Features

　　This product is a fully domestically produced version of the quick-opening blind plate developed by the UK-based GD Company, boasting excellent performance. Compared to other types of blind plates, its key features include: effortless opening and closing—allowing one person to easily operate it within just one minute—and simple, intuitive handling. Additionally, it comes equipped with a safety interlock system, ensuring compliance with both the national industry standard SY/T0556 "Technical Specification for Rapid-Opening Blind Plates" and the relevant provisions outlined in the "Safety Supervision and Inspection Regulations for Stationary Pressure Vessels."

　　How it works

　　As shown in the left diagram, when the locking ring (expansion ring) is clamped between the head cover and the cylinder flange, the system is in the closed state.

　　Once the locking ring (expansion ring) comes out from between the two components, it enters the open position (as shown in the middle diagram), at which point you can lift off the head cover (as illustrated on the right).

　　Equipped with a safety interlock device

　　This product is equipped with a safety interlock device to prevent accidental operation and ensure safety.

　　Its function is as follows: Before closing the blind plate, this device must be properly installed—otherwise, the equipment cannot be pressurized. And before opening the blind plate, the device must first be deactivated to safely release any residual pressure inside the equipment; otherwise, the blind plate cannot be opened.

　　Note: 1. The design diameter refers to the inner or outer diameter of the equipment connected to the quick-opening blind plate.

　　Ordering Instructions

　　When placing an order, please specify the following details:

　　Is the blind plate designed based on its inner diameter or outer diameter? Also, specify the wall thickness of the equipment welded to the quick-opening blind plate, as well as the type of weld preparation groove used.

　　Are you referring to design pressure or operating pressure? Design temperature or operating temperature? And what about the working medium and its corrosive properties?

　　What material is used for the blind flange? Note: (The main body of the blind flange is always made from a forged component), or specify the material of the equipment to which the blind flange will be welded.

　　If it’s a sulfur-resistant material, is an HIC and SSC test report required?

　　Is the blind plate vertical or horizontal?

　　If an audio-visual alarm device is installed, prior notification is required.

　　Currently, this type of quick-opening blind plate goes by several names in the market: lock-ring type, expansion-ring type, pressure-ring type, and more. However, according to the national industry standard SY/T0556, it is officially referred to as the "pressure-ring type (YH type) quick-opening closure for ring-type." Therefore, we will adhere strictly to the standard guidelines.
