Ball-receiving and -sending cylinder
The ball-collecting device is similar to the ball-launching device, except that it features a vent valve installed at the front (upper part) to release pressure from the pipeline after ball collection, preventing airlocks. Additionally, a drain port is located at the bottom to remove debris and accumulated liquids from the front of the ball.

The pig launcher/receiver, commonly referred to as the pig barrel, is a type of pipeline accessory widely used in pipelines transporting various media. Typically installed at both ends of the main pipeline, it serves to launch and retrieve pigs—tools used for cleaning, wax removal, oil sweeping, and scale elimination—before the pipeline is put into operation, as well as after startup to maintain optimal flow conditions.
The launching device is typically made from a steel pipe of the same diameter as the pipeline to be cleaned (or about 100 mm larger, accounting for variations in ball sizes). A flanged cap is installed at the front end (for loading the ball), along with an air inlet port whose size is determined based on the required airflow. The rear end is designed for connecting to the pipeline—either by welding or flange connection (with a reducer if necessary)—and its length is adjusted according to the specific size of the ball being used.

There are various types of pigging tools used for pipeline cleaning, broadly categorized into three main types:
1. Pigging Ball (Round Rubber Ball);
II. Pigging Devices with Rubber Cups (Dimensional Pigs, Diameter-Measuring Pigs, Isolation Pigs, Bi-directional Pigs, etc.);
3. Foam Pigging Devices (High-, Medium-, and Low-Density Foam Pigs).
The advantage of the pig-type pipeline cleaner is that it maintains a consistent direction while traveling inside the pipeline, allowing it to carry various inspection instruments and other devices—such as those used to detect pipe deformation, displace fluids, clean internal spaces, and remove rust from pipe walls.
